Teal
Teal is a concept that Frederic Laloux developed from existing organizations that make things different to the common organizationale practices. New ways to make our workplaces more soulful, authenic, community, passionate and more purposefull.
It is based on three pillars.
1. Self-Management
Much suffering is caused by bad leadership.
Much happyness is created, where we find ourself effective and reach goals together.
Not only for the co-workers lead fulfilling lives, also the results will be better. Each organizational entity of Polly & Bob underly this principal. Therefore we use a system called Holocracy. (More Information here: Link to Holocracy).
According to the example of Buurtzorg, a dutch care company, we organize around local groups. These so called Localboards ar self-managed entities, that act locally in their neighborhood. The central organization has the only task to support the local groups. This support is transfer of know how, seminars, teachings, the plattform, and a forum for overregional communication of localboards. Buurtzorg is a huge succes and revolutionizing the care system in Holland. It is not only more effective but much more efficient also, because it is ruled by human standards and not technocratic bureaucracy.
2. Wholeness
Wholeness means to see the whole human qualities and not seeing only the rational elements of the human nature as most organization do. These qualities are emotions, intuitions, and also spirituality.
We want to create safe environments by designing work spaces, time, place, and how we work together. It touches many HR processes like recruitment, onboarding, training, commitment, feedback, remuneration and dismiss.
3. evolutionary purpose
Laloux observe that organizations that follow an evoltuionary purpose have much more fulfilling workplaces. Most fulfilling lives are lives dedicated to a higher purpose.
For us this purpose is the shaping of the digital society. We foster positive community athmosphere without loosing our individual freedom and liberty. We want to shape a positive co-living in the neighborhood and bring people together offline, because we believe that is what makes us human.
We want to establish an organizational culture in Polly & Bob that is free of competitive thinking. Therefore we use a concept called tribal leadership. Find more here Link to Tribal Leadership.
