A HEADFUL OF BEES and ORANGE EAR

About
A HEADFUL OF BEES and ORANGE EAR cook up a collective mini-showcase for Die Singenden Wohnzimmer featuring tasty bite-size musical treats from four of Berlin’s most individual singer-songwriters: My Baby Will (IT), Remarkable Shipwrecks (AU), Kini Mod (DE) and Wasp Summer (AU). Music at 18:00. Two sets.

My Baby Will

My Baby Will is the solo project of Monica Cipollone, italian songwriter based in Berlin. Monica explores classic folk and American Country music with her acoustic guitar and voice. In 2010, she recorded an EP containing introspective and calm songs. The melodies recall the dreamlike and “amazing blue” atmospheres of Bob Dylan’s and Neil Young’s music.

Wasp Summer

Wasp Summer’s new songs expand on the indie Americana and Australian folk sounds of 2012′s Close as a Slow Dance. She has been experimenting with stillness, distortion and dissonance, giving depth and drama to her dreamy melodies.
